COMMANDER KRO

(Gel Fineliner on A5 paper)

A piece I drew for Inktober 2024 (Day 3) giving some realistic encouragement to others taking part in, what is, a fairly pointless challenge. Some do fall by the wayside, though. Not their fault. It's a lot to invest in by doing a month's worth of drawings, such as time and the cost of materials, which is why I chose to use the cheapest I could find to complete it.

But I do that anyway.

The Old Librarian

(fineliner on 190mm x 130mm paper)

This was a pen sketch that I did last year which I decided to finish-off a little more. The initial idea of it was a bookish, wizard-like, individual who was something of a travelling library, and wore one of his books as a hat.

Captain Skav

I've decided to try my artwork, and my luck, by selling NFTs on the OpenSea platform. I drew this character to mark the occasion. I don't know how it will go, or if I'll make anything from doing so, but at least I'm not trying to fob buyers off with lazy instance imagery that would make even Andy Warhol blush.

What buyers of my NFTs will be getting is a one-off with each of my works, as I won't make any other from them. It would be the original digital representation of the work.

Why Can't They Just Learn English?

This was one of the more larger pieces I did last year (and by large I mean just under A5). It depicts a friendly alien species who, having travelled light years across space, shared the fruits of their knowledge with us, and assimilated into human life as best they could, is still confronted with one of those age-old questions of ignorance.

Numen-Deus TREASURE : THE FATEFUL PEN

(HB pencil on 85mm x 50mm card)

- NOT AVAILABLE-

Using the ink of your own blood, this pen allows you to write your own destiny. Anything that you write for yourself will come to pass, no matter how obscure or strange it may be.

Even in the hands of the mindful, it has the power to corrupt. For the author who dictates their own life story has no life at all, and no story to tell. In the end, they become nothing but victims of their own deep, dark, perversions.

We should remember what Numen-Deus tries to tell us:

"ALL DESIRES DEMAND THEIR OWN PRICE"
