Point In Time : THE DANCE OF THE DARK WITCH

(HB pencil on a 125mm x 79mm till receipt)

- NOT AVAILABLE -

Point in time works tend to be mostly self-portraits by artists. Usually, a significant moment in their lives which they wish to capture. With this point in time work, I chose to do a dreamscape piece on the back of a till receipt. After all, they measure an exact point in time in where you were and what you were doing. If you look closely on the right, you'll see that it's a Poundland one. Drawing on till receipts is all very well, but they do tend to cook a bit in the laminator, darkening the printed side, but it turned out well.

And, just in case you were wondering what I was buying from Poundland, ironically, it was a couple of sketchbooks.

Screaming Soul

(HB pencil on 182mm x 129mm card

- NOT AVAILABLE -

With this particular dreamscape piece, I did something a little different. I started with a simple sketch of a screaming face and worked around it to produce the work above. The image itself is slightly wider, with the screaming face being more central. I wanted it to be more complementary to the distorted female figure which developed during the Rorschaching stage, so I cropped the image with photo-editing software.

Why Can't They Just Learn English?

(Fineliner on 190mm x 120mm paper)

- NOT AVAILABLE -

This was one of the more larger pieces I did last year (and by large I mean just under A5). It depicts a friendly alien species who, having travelled light years across space, shared the fruits of their knowledge with us, and assimilated into human life as best they could, is still confronted with one of those age-old questions of ignorance.

The Injustice Of Everything

(2B pencil on 147mm x 107mm paper)

- NOT AVAILABLE -

It started off as a rough sketch which I decided to work on a little more. At first, I was going to call this "Dark Scream" but I didn't think that was suitable for what it was. The dark scream itself is aimed at "The Injustice of Everything" which was a far more apt title for it.

MARCH OF THE DAMNED

(2B pencil on 178mm x 114mm paper)

- NOT AVAILABLE -

A strange image of shadowy figures, all chained together, going hopelessly and reluctantly in the same direction. Above them is a wisp of some scent or sound that was never meant for them.

Guardian Spirits: ZUN & LITTLE OD

HB pencil on 80mm x 47mm paper)
- NOT AVAILABLE -

(HB pencil on 80mm x 50mm paper)
- NOT AVAILABLE -

Two more Guardian Spirit pieces to give out to people I meet. One depicting the standard alien grey, whilst the other shows an alien creature with a very apt name.

Prophecy 4 : WE HACKED YOUR ROBOT

(HB pencil on 123mm x 95mm paper)

- NOT AVAILABLE -

We hacked your robot
Whilst you were away
Out at play

And gone for the day

We hacked your robot

Bought for those jobs

You were too lazy to do

Status-Tech

For the people you knew

And it did all that you asked

Everything it was tasked

Without complain

Or pain

Or gain

It "cleaned" your home

It "fed" your cat

And dealt with all

Your worthless tat

And when it was done

Its work complete

It just sat down

In your favourite seat

To make you aware

That without a care

You deserved what you got

When WE HACKED YOUR ROBOT!

Star-Keeper

(HB pencil on 120mm x 100mm paper)

- NOT AVAILABLE -

Another dreamscape work where a planetary theme seemed to develop with the glowing orb and the line of spheres near the leaning figure. "Star-Keeper" was then an obvious choice for the title of it.

Merry Christmas 2020 - THE ROUND ROBIN

(HB pencil on 130mm x 120mm paper)

It's that time of year again, and 2020 has been a very trying year for everyone. With that in mind, I decided to go all "Victorian" with the image and story I did for my Christmas cards. Pandemic lockdowns do have that restrained Victorian feel to them. So enjoy Mrs Farqua's odd little round-robin message...

Waiting For Something To Happen

(H pencil on a 139mm x 87mm postcard)

- NOT AVAILABLE -

A dreanscape work completed with a H grade pencil. The woman appeared early on in the Rorschaching stage, but the rest of the image remained dream construct.
